THE ENERGY ABSORBER IN A LANYARD WORKS AS FOLLOWS:
  • Always use Energy Absorbing Lanyards for fall arrest applications.
  • A Lanyard must be kept as short as possible to minimize the free fall distance.
  • All Utex Energy Absorbing Lanyards are tested and certified as per EN 355:2002 for their maximum length of 2.0 m.
  • Use the appropriate Fall Protection System.
  • Always check for the minimum Fall Clearance Distance so that the risk of hitting an obstacle below is not there.
  • If the user falls from above the anchorage, the Lanyard will be activated after 4.0 m free fall. To ensure safety, 6.25 m clearance space below the anchorage is required.

UTEX provides you with an option to customize your restraint as per your own job specific needs.
